Following routine safety inspections in February 2026, structural issues were identified in our main building at Bunbury Wildlife Park.
The City of Bunbury and Bunbury Wildlife Park teams acted quickly to ensure the safety of our animals, staff, and visitors, closing the building and safely relocating all animals within hours.
The great news!
- All animals are safe, healthy, and thriving in appropriate care
- The Park is fully operational with almost all exhibits and experiences available
- Some of our animals, including our Sugar Gliders, Oblong Turtle and Reptiles are currently off-display
We’re currently completing detailed assessments to determine the full scope of repairs needed. This proactive approach ensures we’re investing in the long-term future of this treasured community facility.
The Wildlife Park remains open and welcoming visitors! Entry is via Gate 1, and our wonderful team is ready to help you enjoy everything the Park has to offer.
