Membership Suspensions

Managing your membership just got easier.

The South West Sports Centre is pleased to announce the trial of a new online membership suspension feature (running from November 2026 to May 2027), giving members greater flexibility and convenience when managing their memberships.

Members can now submit eligible suspension requests directly through the Customer Portal, allowing them to manage their account anytime and anywhere, without the need for phone calls, emails, or in-person visits.

With the new feature, members can:

  • Request membership suspensions online at a time that suits them
  • Select suspension dates that may fall outside their regular payment schedule
  • Manage their membership without contacting the Centre
  • View account information through the Customer Portal
  • Receive automatic confirmation once a suspension request has been submitted

Throughout the trial period, members will be invited to provide feedback on the online membership suspension process.
This feedback will help inform the evaluation of the trial and determine whether the feature will be introduced as a permanent offering.

Important Payment Information

To ensure memberships remain up to date, payment adjustments may occur when a suspension is applied.

Members should note that:

  • Payments before and/or after a suspension period may differ from the usual debit amount
  • Any payment adjustments are made in accordance with the membership suspension policy
  • Payment amounts will never exceed a member's regular membership deduction
  • Pro-rata charges may apply if a membership is reactivated earlier than originally requested

This trial aims to provide a more convenient and user-friendly experience, while maintaining flexibility for members who may need to temporarily pause their membership.

Members can access the Customer Portal to submit their suspension request and receive immediate confirmation once it has been processed.

For any questions or assistance, members are encouraged to contact the South West Sports Centre team on 9795 2222.
