Making history accessible for everyone

We welcome everyone to the Bunbury Museum and are committed to ensuring history is accessible to all. To find out more about how the Museum can support your access requirements or to provide suggestions on how we can continue to improve our offering, please contact us at museum@bunbury.wa.gov.au

Getting Here

Visitors have several parking options within walking distance of the museum, including free (time-restricted) on-street parking and the privately managed car parks located around the CentrePoint Shopping Centre (ticketed). Accessible ACROD bays are also located within these car parks. For more information, visit Smart Parking in Bunbury.

Other options include the Bunbury Bus Terminal, a 350-metre walk away, as well as a taxi rank and three 'pickup and setdown only' car bays at the entrance to the museum on Arthur Street. For more information about public transport in Bunbury, visit the TransRegional website.

Getting Around

The Museum has automatic entry and exit doors, and the building is fully accessible for mobility aids (wheelchairs, walking frames and scooters), prams, and welcomes certified guide dogs and assistance animals (and those in training).

An adult-size wheelchair is available for use within the building. We also have plenty of seating within the display space.

The Museum hosts regular Sensory Quiet Sessions for visitors who prefer a calm, quiet experience when visiting public spaces.

If you have specific access requirements and require any adjustments, please do not hesitate to contact our staff, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Group bookings and tours can also be arranged – contact the Museum for more information.

Toilets

There are male, female and accessible toilets within the Museum building. The Paisley Centre Public Toilets are also located on the outside of the building. There are no baby-changing facilities within the Museum. The closest baby-changing facilities are within the Bunbury Centrepoint Shopping Centre. Bathrooms feature grab rails and are unlocked when the building is open.
