Building Applications, Forms & Fees

If you are wanting to undertake building work in the City of Bunbury, you may require a Building Permit prior to commencement.

    A copy of the Building Permit Application and supporting documentation can be submitted at our Administration Building.

  • You will engage in a Private Building Surveyor who will determine if the building works comply with the National Construction Code, prior to them providing the BA3 Certificate of Design Compliance. You will then submit the certified documents with your building permit application to the City for assessment. The City has up to 10 business days to assess the certified application and to issue a Building Permit.

  • A City of Bunbury Building Surveyor will assess your application to determine whether the building works comply with the National Construction Code. The City has up to 25 business days to assess the uncertified application and to issue a permit. The BA3 Certificate of Design Compliance is issued as part of the Building Permit.

  • The Construction Training Fund (CTF) Levy is applicable to all building permit applications with an estimated cost of works above $20,000. The City of Bunbury requires proof of payment of the CTF Levy to be submitted with your application.
