Pivot is BRAG’s new incubator program for emerging and experimental arts practice. Designed to give artists space to test ideas, receive tailored curatorial feedback, and develop their practice in a supportive environment.
If selected, artists will:
- Take part in a small-scale incubator exhibition at BRAG, where your work can be exhibited and documented.
- Work with BRAG’s curators to develop a coherent, ready-to-publish exhibition proposal, a resource that can be utilised when applying for future exhibitions, grants, or residencies.
This program is developmental with a focus on artist learning and growth. Artists must be willing to engage in constructive feedback and critique as part of the process.
- Applications for the late 2025/early 2026 Pivot Program opportunity are now closed. Applications will open in April 2026.
- Selected artists must be available to exhibit during the exhibition dates.
- Artists will be paid a fee of $500 for participation in the project.
- This opportunity is ongoing, with biannual call-outs (twice per year).
