Discover how plant collecting changed the world in our hands-on Herbarium workshops at the Bunbury Museum.
Used to identify species and study plant diversity, herbarium samples provide valuable historical and scientific data for centuries after collection.
Attendees will learn the basics of arranging herbarium samples, uncover how plants travelled the world during the 18th century, and meet some of the intrepid characters who spent their lives hunting them.
Due to popular demand, the Museum is hosting two opportunities to participate in this activity:
- Wednesday, 21 January 2026, 10.30am - 12pm
- Wednesday, 28 January 2026, 10.30am - 12pm
Suitable for children aged 8 and up. Tickets are $12 per child; entry for supervising adults is free.
