State Emergency Services

​Would you like to become a volunteer in the Bunbury Unit of the State Emergency Service? The local Unit of the SES is looking for new members. All training and equipment is provided free of charge. All they need is your time and commitment. 

The Bunbury Unit trains every Monday evening and also on some weekends. Vacancies exist for people to train to be rescue technicians, communications and logistics operators and community engagement persons, to assist with the provision of safety advice to community. 

If you are a retired business person, then have we got a job for you! The Unit is looking for people with an interest in assisting in the business administration section, also.

Learn new skills to enable you to assist your community with storm damage repairs, missing person searches, communications, map reading, four wheel driving, cliff/cave rescue, urban search and rescue, flood relief operations, air observation to name some.  You could be deployed anywhere in the country, to provide your skills and knowledge when disaster strikes.

Additionally, you will meet lots of like-minded people on the journey.
