10/05/2013 New traffic lights make busy intersection safer
City traffic can now access Blair Street more easily and safely with the installation of traffic lights at the busy intersection of Spencer Street and Stuart Street.This was the final stage of a three year project to progressively widen Stuart Street to allow two way traffic and provide a link between two of the City’s busiest roads.City of Bunbury’s Director of Works and Services Phil Harris said the project has already made a big difference to road users and local businesses.

10/05/2013 Organic bins rolling to you in the coming weeks
From the 27th May the new organic bins will begin to be delivered to households across Bunbury.By the end of June all of the 15,000 bins will have been delivered along with an information booklet, roll of compostable bags, and a calendar to help residents keep track of when their bins need to go out for collection.To further help residents adapt to the new three bin system the City is conducting a series of information days in Bunbury’s shopping centres.Waste Education Coordinator Margaret Macindoe says this will be a great opportunity for people to ask any questions as well as view samples of what can be put into the bins.

10/05/2013 Senior’s brave the storm for a fun day out
More than 300 people braved the weather last Wednesday to experience all that the Bunbury Senior Citizens Centre has to offer.Visitors to the Open Day enjoyed fun filled activities including zumba and tai chi demonstrations, devonshire tea and live entertainment. The event was also popular with stallholders including Neighbourhood Watch, Continence Foundation of Australia, Community Home Care and the Independent Living Centre of WA who were able to educate seniors about the services available in Bunbury and the region.
