As part of the City of Bunbury's commitment to creating a more inclusive community, the South West Sports Centre now offers a suite of digital accessibility tools designed to help visitors of all abilities feel informed, prepared and confident before they arrive.
Whether you're coming for a swim, workout, group fitness class or sporting event, you can now explore the Centre in advance and access detailed information about its facilities and accessibility features, all from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
Explore Before You Visit
The Cérge Digital Accessibility Platform includes a range of features to help you plan your visit, including:
- 360° virtual tours to explore the Centre before you arrive.
- Sensory guides and visual stories outlining lighting, noise levels and other environmental factors.
- Detailed accessibility information on parking, entrances, change rooms, amenities and wayfinding.
- Audio guides for visitors who are blind or have low vision.
- Communication supports, including keyword sign boards and communication boards.
These tools provide practical information to help visitors understand the environment and navigate the Centre with greater confidence, making it easier for everyone to enjoy all the South West Sports Centre has to offer.
The South West Sports Centre is one of several City of Bunbury facilities now equipped with the Cérge Digital Accessibility Platform. Visitors can also access the same digital accessibility tools when planning a trip to the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery, Bunbury Public Library, Withers Community Library, Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre, Bunbury Visitor Centre, Koolambidi Woola Youth Precinct, the City of Bunbury Administration Building and Hay Park North Pavilion.
