From Monday, 15 June 2026, the footpath and pram ramp leading into the South West Sports Centre from the Wimbledon Way main car park will be replaced as part of ongoing maintenance and accessibility improvements.

The works are expected to take approximately three days and will include:
- Day 1 – Removal of existing concrete
- Day 2 – Pouring of new concrete
- Day 3 – Site clean-up and curing time for the new concrete
During this period:
- The existing footpath and pram ramp will be closed.
- Pedestrians will be directed to access the entrance of the Centre via a temporary alternative route further up the footpath near the No Parking Bay.
- A temporary ramp will also be installed near the No Parking Bay to ensure there remains accessible entry to the Centre.
- A section of the internal roadway will be closed to traffic however, vehicles and buses will still be able to navigate around the closure and exit the car park as normal.
Please follow all on-site signage and directions from workers and staff while the works are underway.
