Aquatic Centre Closure Update

UPDATE: Thursday, 4 June 2026

We know this isn’t the update you were hoping for, and we’re sorry.

Unfortunately, due to additional water testing requirements, we’re unable to reopen the pool tomorrow as planned. Our team is doing everything they can to get results back as quickly as possible, including hand-delivering samples to the Perth lab today.

We know this is frustrating, especially for our regular swimmers, members and families who’ve been patiently waiting all week. We feel it too. We want that pool open just as much as you do.

We’re expecting an update later today on timing and will let you know as soon as we have a confirmed reopening date.

In the meantime, here’s what you need to know:

  • Memberships – we’re working through extensions for anyone with aquatics access and will be in touch with affected members once we have a confirmed reopening date.
  • Casual swim passes – pre-paid passes remain valid and can be used once the pool reopens. No credit lost.
  • Swim lessons – credits have already been applied and affected families have been contacted.
  • Group/school bookings – we’re in contact with all bookings to keep them updated.
  • Gym and other facilities – open as normal!

Thanks for bearing with us. We really do appreciate your patience.

We’ll update you as soon as we know more.

UPDATE: Wednesday, 3 June 2026

The Aquatic Centre, including all pools, the spa, sauna and steam room, will remain closed for the remainder of Wednesday, 3 June, and Thursday, 4 June.

We are continuing to work closely with the Department of Health and are currently awaiting final approval to confirm that the pool water is safe and the Aquatic Centre can reopen.

While the required testing and approval process is taking a little longer than initially anticipated, the health and safety of our patrons remains our highest priority, and we want to ensure the Aquatic Centre is safe, ready and in top condition for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while this process is completed.

We will continue to provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

POSTED: Tuesday, 2 June 2026

Unfortunately, our Aquatic Centre will remain closed for the remainder of today, Tuesday, 2 June and tomorrow, Wednesday 3 June.

This closure includes all pools, the spa, sauna and steam room.

Following the extended power outage over the weekend, strict health and safety requirements mean that pool water samples must be tested and approved before the aquatic facilities can reopen. Our team is working closely with the Department of Health to ensure these samples are transported to Perth as quickly as possible so the approval process can be completed.

We know many of our members, swimming clubs, schools and regular visitors are eager to return to the water, and we understand this ongoing closure is frustrating. The health and safety of our patrons remains our highest priority, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while this process is underway.

The remainder of the Centre, including the gym and indoor courts, remains open and operating as normal.

We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available. Please stay tuned to our social media pages for the latest news regarding the reopening of the Aquatic Centre.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back into the water as soon as possible.
