Mookaroo‑k Goomburrup winter events brighten the season

Firepit in Bunbury

Introducing Mookaroo‑k Goomburrup – Bunbury Winter Events, a new three‑month program transforming the city centre into a hub of activity, flavour and atmosphere from June through August. With more than 40 events and experiences on offer, it’s all about making the most of the cooler months and discovering a different side to Bunbury.

What does Mookaroo‑k mean?

Simply put, it comes from the Noongar word Mookaroo — the coldest season — with Mookaroo‑k meaning “in winter.” And Goomburrup is the Noongar name for Bunbury. Together, it’s all about embracing winter in Bunbury.
