Conditions of Entry

Entry to this facility is conditional on members and visitors complying with the following terms and conditions:

Conditions of Entry

  • The South West Sports Centre welcomes the capturing of your family’s magic moments, however the privacy of others must be respected.

    The use of cameras and video recording devices at the Centre is subject to the following conditions:

    • Patrons wishing to photograph, or video must have approval from all people in the photo/video.
    • Other patrons should not be clearly identifiable.
    • Other patrons are not to be disrupted or asked to move out of your shot. When taking a photo or video choose a setting away from other people.
    • Strictly no photography or video imagery is permitted in the ablutions or change rooms.
    • Any photography or video captured for promotional, record keeping, or media purposes must be approved by the City of Bunbury Marketing and Brand Team.
    • Management reserves the right to view images on a device should any concern be raised, request deletion of photos, video or footage and refuse the person from using the device.

    1. Customers are admitted to the South West Sports Centre at their own risk.
    2. There are conditions of use specific to each area of the facility. Customers are required to read and abide by these conditions.
    3. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person at any time or to remove any person who is reasonably suspected of disruptive or disorderly conduct – including, but not limited to; verbally or physically threatening staff or other customers; swearing aloud; acting inappropriately; and gaining or attempting to gain unauthorised and/or wrongful access.
    4. Children thirteen (13) years and under entering the facility must be supervised by an adult or person over the age of sixteen (16) at all times.
    5. Children under five (5) years of age must be accompanied in the water and within arm’s reach of an adult or person over the age of sixteen (16) at all times.
    6. The South West Sports Centre has a no coaching policy, applicable to external providers and business entities. Coaching will only be permitted when a facility booking is in place or as otherwise approved by management. Coaching is defined as the use of a trainer or coach that provides guidance and/or instruction of physical activities being undertaken that has not been approved by Management. This includes both paid coaching services and voluntary.
    7. The SWSC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Please keep your valuables secure and use the lockers provided.
    8. You may be filmed or photographed via security cameras whilst visiting the SWSC.
    9.  This is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted within the indoor or outdoor areas of the Centre. Smoking is also not permitted within five (5) metres of the building.
    10.  Drugs and alcohol are strictly not permitted in the facility, nor is anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
    11.  The use of all cameras, including smart phones, is prohibited in all change rooms.
    12.  No scooters or furniture is to be brought into the facility.
    13. Bringing food and/or beverage into the facility is strictly prohibited.  Esky’s and any food/beverage bought in from outside the Centre may be confiscated by Management, and will be returned to you when leaving. Snacks for children utilising the Creche services is allowed.
  • Aquatics Condition of Entry

    1. No running, please walk.
    2. No bombies, flipping or rough play.
    3. No food or drink in the pools.
    4. Cameras or mobile phones cannot be used in change rooms.
    5. Please shower before entering the pool, sauna, spa or steam room.
    6. Wear suitable, clean swimwear.
    7. Children under the age of four (4) years and persons who ordinarily wear nappies must wear an aqua-nappy when in the waterbody.
    8. Children under the age of thirteen (13) years will not be admitted without an accompanying adult or person over the age of sixteen (16) years. The accompanying adult or person over the age of sixteen (16) years of age must supervise within eyesight of all children under the age of thirteen (13) years when in the water.
    9. Children under five (5) years of age must be accompanied in the water and within arm’s reach of an adult or person over the age of sixteen (16) at all times.
    10. Unsupervised children will be removed from the water and placed in a safe area until collected by a parent/guardian.
    11.  Children five (5) years and under are allowed in opposite-sex change facilities.
    12.  Lifeguard directions must be adhered to at all times.
    13.  If you have suffered gastroenteritis or an infectious disease, please do not use the aquatic facilities.
    14.  Lifeguards may ask you to move from recreational areas at their discretion.
    15.  Swimwear must be worn in public showers at all times.
    16.  SWSC has a no coaching policy, applicable to external providers and business entities. Coaching will only be permitted when a facility booking is in place or as otherwise approved by management.

    Spa, Sauna and Steam Room Conditions of Entry

    1. Children under the age of sixteen (16) are not permitted to use the spa, sauna or steam room.
    2. A wrist band issued by Reception must be worn at all times whilst using these facilities.  You may be asked to leave the area if you cannot show your wristband.
    3. The spa pool is a heated water environment, if you are concerned that it may adversely affect your health it is your responsibility to seek medical advice.
    4. Never put your head under the water.
    5. Pregnant women are advised not to use the spa, sauna or steam room.
    6. Hair or skin treatments or newspapers or paper products are not permitted.
    7. Please shower before entering the spa, sauna or steam room.
    8. Do not pour water on the sauna elements or rocks.
    9.  Please sit on a towel whilst in the sauna.
    10.  Do not use scented oils in the sauna or steam room.

    Waterslide and Inflatable Conditions of Use

    1. Children must be aged over eight (8) years to use the inflatable.
    2. There is no minimum age to use the waterslide however, normal aquatic supervision requirements apply.
    3. Feet-first sliding on waterslide at all times.
    4. Session times may be adjusted according to operational requirements.
    5. These facilities may be hired for exclusive use.  Please follow the advice from aquatic staff.

    Lap Lane Etiquette

    1. Swimming is clockwise. Follow your fellow swimmers.
    2. Please choose the appropriate lane for your speed.
    3. Fast Lane – under 60 seconds per lap. Medium Lane – under 80 seconds per lap. Slow Lane – over 80 seconds per lap.
    4. If you are passed by or are passing other swimmers, swap to a slower or faster lane.
    5. Wait 5 seconds after the swimmer in front has started.
    6. Stand to the side of the lane while resting.
    7. Please listen to the lifeguard if they ask you to swap lanes.

    Large Group Bookings (Over 50 Patrons Under 18)

    1. For any booking involving more than 50 patrons under the age of 18, additional supervision requirements apply.
    2. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by active adult volunteers at a ratio of 1 adult volunteer for every 25 children.
    3. It is the responsibility of the booking party to ensure that these supervision requirements are met at all times during the event.
    4. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in cancellation of the booking or removal from the premises.
  • Gym Conditions of Entry

    1. All members and visitors are required to follow staff directions.
    2. No behaviour that maybe considered to be unsafe, disorderly or disruptive.
    3. Suitable gym attire to be worn at all times, including enclosed sports shoes.
    4. Bags to be stored in bag rack and not taken onto gym floor.
    5. All equipment to be sanitised after every use.
    6. You must use a towel every visit, one that is large enough to cover a gym bench.  Place it on the equipment before use and also use it to wipe down afterwards followed by wiping down equipment with the wipes provided.
    7. Scan-in on every entry with SWSC tag or casual pass.
    8. Remove weights and return equipment after use.
    9. Please be kind and considerate of other members and share the equipment during peak times.
    10. Please direct all questions to staff.
    11. SWSC has a no coaching policy, applicable to external providers and business entities. Coaching will only be permitted when a facility booking is in place or as otherwise approved by Management.
  • Conditions of Entry

    1. The stadium is a user pays facility, a valid membership, court booking or casual entry fee is required.
    2. Management reserves the right to suspend or expel players, customers and spectators from the sports courts or social competitions.
    3. The SWSC has a no coaching policy, applicable to external providers and business entities. Coaching will only be permitted when a facility booking is in place or as otherwise approved by management.
    4. Speakers or any device emitting music are not allowed to be used in the Stadium without prior approval from Management.

    Stadium Etiquette

    1. Casual users must obtain a wristband from reception and wear it at all times.
    2. Casual users may need to share court space with other casual users.
    3. Please display sportsmanship to everyone.
    4. Everyone must register to play team sport.
    5. Clean, non-marking shoes to be worn on court, this is a heel free zone.
    6. No chewing gum allowed in the stadium or on the Squash courts.
  • Conditions of Entry

    1. Parents/Guardians must remain within the Centre for the duration of your child’s visit to the creche.
    2. Children can attend the creche from eight (8) weeks of age up to five (5) years of age.  Maximum age is extended to 10 years during school holidays only, Saturdays and student-free days.
    3. Bookings are required for all ages.  Walk-ins will only be accepted if there are places available.
    4. Although every care will be taken, Centre Staff are free from all responsibility for accidents or loss of property in connection with any child’s participation.
    5. The Centre reserves the right to exclude children from the any Children’s Services program for behavior that is deemed inappropriate.
    6. Cancellations must be made by 8:30am on the day of your booking or you may be charged the usual fee.
    7. Additional fees apply if you are late collecting your child from creche.
    8. Please do not bring your child to creche if they are unwell or display any symptoms of illness.
  • Conditions of Enrolment

    • Please refer to Little Lappers Swim School web page for a list of the full terms and conditions of enrolment.
    • Enrolled students who receive free pool entry during the term, can use their free entry for practice/play swimming only. Free pool entry excludes entry for organised sessions booked by external user groups eg. Education Department swimming lessons, school or club squad training.
    • Students under thirteen (13) years require a parent/guardian to be in the pool area at all times.
    • Children under the age of four (4) years are require to wear a swimming nappy or swimming pants at all times whilst in the water.
