Welcome to the South West Sports Centre's Wellness Week, proudly partnered by Technogym!

Dedicated to our valued members we've curated a series of empowering workshops, presentations, workouts and challenges aimed at promoting holistic well-being and giving back to our incredible SWSC community.

Together with our fitness equipment partners Technogym, we invite current SWSC members to register for these FREE activities but be quick, places are limited!

  • Wednesday 17 April   |   11:15am – 12:15am

    SWSC Wellness Week 2024

    Join the SWSC fitness team over a cuppa as they demonstrate the benefits and functionality of the Technogym app.

    Discover how the app can help you achieve your health and wellness goals.  Bring along your smartphone and we’ll walk you through the download process and answer all of your questions.

    Wellness Week 2024

    Move, Train, Play is a method which looks how people aspire to exercise. We explore how routines can be adapted into Move, Train, and Play styles of training to suit every member and enhance variety of exercise.

    Teens are very welcome!

    Flexibility, Mobility and Injury Prevention

    Explore the importance of flexibility and how this can enhance your overall fitness routine. Delve into stretching routines, foam rolling, and stretching exercises to improve joint health.

    Understand how to avoid and prevent common workout-related injuries.


  • Wednesday 17 April  |  6:45pm – 7:45pm

    Explore the fundamentals of strength training, including essential exercises, proper form, and the science behind muscle growth.

    Ideal for beginners and those looking to establish a strong foundation in strength training.


  • Thursday 18 April   |   6:00pm – 7:30pm

    Presented by Niomi Hurley from Get Up and Grow Consulting, this session is designed to demonstrate the complex connections that our thoughts, physical states, and feelings share.

    Participants will learn about strategies that foster emotional resilience, enhance mental clarity, and promote physical health, enabling a harmonious balance that supports overall well-being and productivity.


  • Friday 19 April   |   8:30am – 12:30pm

    Are you up for the challenge?  There are cool prizes to be won and bragging rights to earn.

    All you have to do is register to run 2km, ride 5km and row 1km.  The fastest overall will win plus there will be additional prizes for the fastest times on each pieces of equipment.



  • Friday 19 April  |  6:00pm – 7:00pm

    Got that gut feeling? It’s telling you a lot more than you think!

    Gut health is not just about digestion.  Gut health impacts our mood, brain function, sleep, weight, allergies, and immune system. Ensuring we have a thriving gut is critical for everyone.

    SWSC Personal Trainer and Nutritional Coach Kelly delivers a foundational gut health talk plus hands-on tuition for homemade sauerkraut.


  • Saturday 20 April   |   8:15am – 9:15am

    Join our spicy senoritas of sweat, the fiery fitness guru’s who are turning up the heat with this Functional Fiesta workout.

    60 minutes of non-stop fun as you tackle three exhilarating functional training circuits.  It’s not just a workout, it’s a celebration of strength, agility and endurance.

    Join SWSC Trainers Trish, Kelly, Ness, Renee, Chelsea and Amy and lets fiesta and function together!
