Celebrate the book launch of a new biography of Thomas Campbell Carey, Bunbury resident, surveyor and politician.
Carey was a controversial figure who inspired strong loyalties and strong antagonisms in nineteenth-century Bunbury and surrounding areas. He was the victim of assault, defendant in a libel case, critic of the Forrest brothers and opponent of the pastoral 'squattocracy'.
