Published 23 April 2024
Looking for something fun to do with your family, colleagues, friends, classmates or on your own? Why not enter the Wearable Art competition for your chance to win some amazing prizes.
You will be required to incorporate anything recyclable, repurposed, or compostable into your creation, so start gathering your supplies. Make a sculpture, a hat or a fashion entry, the choice is yours!
In the months leading up to the showcase and parade, there will be a variety of community workshops to help inspire your ideas and explore the different ways that waste materials can be repurposed into clothing, sculptures, art and more.
Entrants will be required to showcase their entries at the finalist's parade hosted by the Bunbury Public Library from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, 5 October.
The parade will showcase submissions in the Fashion, Hat, and Sculpture categories. Winners, people's choice award and merit awards will be awarded at the completion of the finalist parade.
Entry is open to all ages and abilities. Register your interest to participate in the Wearable Art/ Sculpture competition before the closing date.
Registrations are now open and close on Sunday, 4 August 2024.
Forms are available from the Bunbury Public Library, Parkfield Street or request a registration form at bunlib@bunbury.wa.gov
