Friday 5 June — Captain’s Runs, CBD Buzz
The weekend gets underway on Friday morning at Hands Oval with FREE AFL Captain’s Runs, featuring North Melbourne followed by the Fremantle Dockers. It’s the perfect chance to see the players up close before the weekend heats up.
Parking around Hands Oval is limited, so please check signage and be mindful of local residents if street parking. Better yet, leave the car at home and use one of TransBunbury’s local bus routes (normal fares apply).
Later in the day, Triple M will be broadcasting live from Intersport Bunbury, with footy giveaways on offer if you’re stopping by to grab your 2026 team gear.
Friday night brings some pre‑game energy into the CBD, with local venues hosting events and activations. Keep an eye out for shop decorations, football hero installations by BGCCI, and yarn‑bombing along Victoria Street. Grab a meal, support local, and watch the Round 13 matches at your go‑to spot.
