The Bunbury Geographe Sports Awards are back!
Nominations are now open for the 2025 awards, which recognise athletes, officials, volunteers and sporting events from across the Bunbury Geographe region.
The renowned Myles Junior Sports Star and AJ (Tood) Buswell South Western Times Sports Star of the year awards are also included and will be presented at a ceremony in March 2025.
Hosted by Bunbury Mayor Jaysen Miguel and the City, the awards recognise Bunbury Geographe’s finest and most talented contributors to sport in the region with awards across several categories.
The City’s categories include:
- Myles Juniors Sports Star of the Year
- Para-Athlete of the Year
- Team of the Year
- Official of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Service to Sport – Volunteering
- Event/Program of the Year
Nominations for all awards are now open until Monday 12 February 2025 with Bunbury Geographe based sport and recreation organisations, clubs or associations, schools and State and National sporting associations eligible to lodge a submission. (Please note, the AJ (Tood) Buswell South Western Times Sports Star of the Year Award is coordinated by South Western Times.)

The Bunbury Geographe Sports Awards are supported by the City and shires of Dardanup, Capel and Harvey.

Official of the Year: Tammie Reid (Bunbury Water Polo Association)
Team of the Year: City of Bunbury Surf Life Saving Club
Sporting Event of the Year: Bunbury United Soccer Club for the Bunbury Junior Soccer Carnival.
Volunteer Service to Sport: David O’Connor (Bunbury Water Polo Association)
