A new-look fireworks display will headline one of Bunbury’s most popular annual events when SkyFest returns to Bunbury next week.

The free family-friendly event will see activities and entertainment throughout the CBD and along Koombana Foreshore and Bunbury’s waterfront on Thursday, 26 January.

Kicking off the day’s festivities will be the Wardan Sunrise Ceremony from 5am happening at the Nedigar Ngoorndingy Memorial Park Bunbury.

The Mayor's Citizenship Awards and the annual breakfast hosted by the Apex Club of Bunbury Koombana will follow at Bicentennial Square.

Other activities will include The Apprentice and Traineeship Company Fun Run hosted by the Bunbury Runners Club, Bunbury's Strongest Men and Women competition, Dinner at Dusk, Hit WA 95.7 outdoor broadcast, Carey Park Scouts obstacle course, South West Development Commission Kids Fun Zone, music and much more.

Local businesses and organisations in the area, such as Taffys and Dolphin Discovery Centre, will also host fun and exciting activities and events as part of the day’s festivities.

The fireworks display will be happening over the picturesque Koombana Bay this year from 8.30pm.
