The City is continuing to look at ways it can support growth, housing and accommodation
options in Bunbury, launching a registration of interest campaign for several City-owned
blocks of land.

The registration of interest will be for the development or disposal – or both – of strategic sites,
including 14 Holywell Street in South Bunbury, affectionately known as Punchbowl.

We know this is an important area for our community, so the City is committed to setting this
site up for a positive outcome that will have social and economic benefits for our community.

The registration of interest process sets out specific requirements including addressing
selection criteria, providing concept plans, and meeting project objectives.

There will be the same community-minded objectives for the other strategic sites in lots 330,
66, and 497 Ocean Drive in Bunbury.

These prime and high-potential sites have been identified as priority land for activation,
development, or disposal to support an increase in accommodation solutions, and
commercial offerings in Bunbury.

It comes following the City’s ongoing review into City-owned, freehold land and opportunities
for activating or de-constraining sites to set them up for success.

The City is also continuing to look at other strategic land sites to support land development
and increase housing and accommodation options.

Any disposal of land or development will be subject to approvals, community engagement,
including First Nations consultation, and Council endorsement.

We look forward to providing our community with updates throughout this process.
