Notice of Public Advertisement of Proposed Local Planning Scheme Amendment – No. 17 – Proposed Rezone to Mixed Use Residential

Lots 15, 16, 17, 42, 100 (#30, #32, #33, #34, #35) Albert Road East Bunbury

Notice is hereby given that at its meeting of 11 November 2025, Council resolved to initiate an amendment to Local Planning Scheme No.8 to rezone the above-mentioned lots from ‘Residential Zone (R20)’ to ‘Mixed Use - Residential Zone’ with a residential density coding of ‘R60’.

The amendment is consistent with the endorsed City of Bunbury Local Planning Strategy 2018 and is therefore considered to be a standard amendment in accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

If approved, the proposed rezoning to Mixed Use - Residential (R60) will result in increased residential density and the potential for small-scale commercial development on the subject lots.

The full Scheme Amendment proposal and submission form can be accessed below. Submissions will be accepted until close of business on Monday, 20 April 2026.

Please note that your submission will be available to the public as an attachment if the matter is referred to Council. This will include your name and suburb only, unless the City is specifically requested to have this information redacted. Minimum information required for a submission to be considered complete is your name, address, date, and signature.
