Notice is hereby given that the local government of the City of Bunbury has received a Scheme Amendment application from Element Advisory Pty Ltd, on behalf of the property owners for proposed Rezoning Tourism to Mixed Use & Residential.
At its meeting of 29 July 2025, Council resolved to adopt an amendment to the City’s Local Planning Scheme No.8 (the Scheme) for the above-mentioned site for the purpose of advertising.
The proposed seeks to amend the Scheme to:
- Delete the lots from Special Control Area - Development Area DA4 and DA5
- Amend the zoning from ‘Tourism’ to ‘Residential’ R60 for Lots 76, 1 and 2 Ocean Drive and ‘Mixed Use – Commercial’ R80 for Lots 497 and 66.
- Amend ‘Restricted Use No.7’ to remove Lots 76, 1 and 2 Ocean Drive and update the wording to reflect the proposed ‘Mixed Use – Commercial’ zoning for Lots 497 and 66 Ocean Drive.
- Insert additional development requirements under Schedule 3 – Additional Site and Development Requirements for all lots.
Public comment is now open, and submissions will be accepted until Monday 6th July 2026.
