The City of Bunbury will provide more than $250,000 in funding to event organisers as part of the first round of its 2026-27 Grant Program, supporting 26 community events and initiatives that will create opportunities for people to connect and celebrate.
Funding has been distributed across the City's Active Places, Community Connect and Signature Events grant categories, supporting a diverse calendar of activities over the next 12 months.
The successful recipients include returning community favourites such as the Bunbury Fringe, Tree Street Arts Safari, Lost and Found Festival, 3 Waters Running Festival, South West Japan Festival, and Bunbury PrideFEST alongside several new initiatives including Bunvegas Music Festival, Geographe Uncorked and Meet You @ Maidens Hip Hop Picnic.
Among the new events, Bunvegas Music Festival is proposed as a full-day music event featuring headline performers, a stage dedicated to emerging South West artists, food and market activations showcasing local businesses, and supporting activities designed to encourage extended stays in the region.

The City's annual Grant Program is helping build Bunbury's reputation as one of the South West's most active events destinations, supporting community participation, visitation and local economic activity through a calendar that now spans major festivals, sporting events and grassroots community initiatives.
Applications for round two of the 2026-27 annual Grant Program will open in late October 2026 and close in early December 2026.
Community groups, event organisers and not-for-profit organisations interested in delivering events from March 2027 onwards are encouraged to explore the grant program and review the available guidelines ahead of Round 2.
