We are excited to reveal the final design for the highly anticipated Forrest Park sporting pavilion.

The City has been working closely with local companies Smith Constructions and Hargreaves Design to finalise the impressive design with the construction phase of the redevelopment set to start in the next couple of months.

The project will see the demolition of the existing, aged clubrooms at Forrest Park to be replaced with a facility set to include four new changerooms, a function room, kitchen and bar, public toilets, umpire rooms, medical room, storage area and a veranda.

Future planned works will also include carpark upgrades and pathway connections, to be completed by the City.

In line with the City’s Corporate Business Plan and sustainability aspirations, the pavilion will incorporate sustainable design, be totally electric and will utilise renewable energy sources.

This project is exciting for Bunbury because it will provide a high standard facility for two of Bunbury’s long-standing sporting clubs, increase capacity for training and player and coaching development, and enhance spectator experience.

It will also increase participation in sport, especially for females and people living with disability by providing an accessible facility.

Completion is anticipated for the second half of 2024.

This project is jointly funded by a $4 million contribution from the City, major supporter the State Government, through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries with $650,000 in funding and WA Cricket and Cricket Australia’s Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund through $50,000 in funding.
