Works are continuing to improve and upgrade the facilities at Forrest Park.

Starting on Monday 5 August Stage 1 of the car park works will begin.

This will see the closure of the dirt car park on the eastern side of the bowling club as well as a section of parking to the south of the club.

There will still be plenty of parking available with half remaining open as well as bays provided at the bowling club car park.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause as these necessary upgrades are taking place.

Stage 1 of the car park improvements will take four weeks to complete depending on the weather.

These works form part of the Forrest Park Pavilion project which includes the demolition of the existing, aged clubrooms at Forrest Park to be replaced with a facility set to include four new changerooms, a function room, kitchen and bar, public toilets, umpire rooms, medical room, storage area and a veranda.

This exciting project for Bunbury will provide a high-standard facility for two of Bunbury’s long-standing sporting clubs, increase capacity for training and player and coaching development, and enhance spectator experience.

It is jointly funded by a $4 million contribution from the City, $650,000 from major supporter the State Government, through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and $50,000 from the Western Australian Cricket Association.
