EV fast charger opens in Bunbury

Bunbury has joined Australia's longest electric vehicle network with the opening of a WA EV Network fast charger at the City of Bunbury Cobblestone Drive carpark.

The new fast charger - located near Blair Street - features a 150 kilowatt (kW) fast charger, which can top-up EVs in about 20 minutes, and a 75kW fast charger.

The charger's opening means EV drivers can now travel along the coast from Northampton to Albany, stopping at regular WA EV Network fast chargers along the way.

When completed later this year, the WA EV Network will feature 49 EV charging sites, averaging less than 200 kilometres apart.

The network has been delivered by Synergy and Horizon Power and is part of the State Government's $43.5 million investment in EV infrastructure.
