Christmas in the City community groups opportunity

Christmas in the City returns to the City of Bunbury on Sunday 8 December, and we have two awesome opportunities for community groups and clubs to earn money.

We are now accepting expressions of interest for the popular Christmas candle competition.

The successful applicant will receive all funds raised from the sale of battery-operated candles during the Christmas Carols Concert as part of Christmas in the City.

The candles will be sold for a gold coin donation from the successful applicant’s marquee at Bicentennial Square during the event.

Expressions of interest are also being accepted for festive food area cleaning personnel.

The successful club or group would need to provide the below services for food area clean-up at the event to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and an excellent event experience for our community members.

• Volunteers
• Set up food area
• Clearing tables
• Sorting waste
• Cleaning surfaces
• Assisting patrons
• Monitoring bins and working collaboratively with the Waste management crew (Carey Park Scouts)
• Maintaining hygiene standards
• Pack up food area

The City of Bunbury will then donate $500 to the successful group or club post-event.
