The City of Bunbury advises that the Bunbury Outdoor Living and Caravan Expo, scheduled to be held at Hay Park from 17 to 19 April 2026, has been postponed by the event organisers and will now take place on 16 to 18 April 2027.
Published 02 April 2026
The decision to postpone the event was made by the organisers in response to escalating fuel and transport costs, which have significantly impacted the ability of exhibitors - particularly those transporting caravans and large equipment - to participate. As a result, the event was no longer financially viable to proceed this year.
The City understands this will be disappointing for residents, local businesses and visitors, particularly given the strong interest in the event and the value it brings to the Bunbury community and local economy. We also recognise the broader cost‑of‑living pressures and ongoing uncertainty currently affecting households, businesses and event organisers alike.
At a time when many in our community are feeling uncertainty, the City encourages understanding and kindness toward local businesses, event organisers and one another as we collectively navigate these challenges.
While the City did not provide direct financial funding for the event, it supported delivery through in‑kind contributions including venue hire and marketing support. The City respects the organisers' decision and supports their intention to return the event to Bunbury in 2027 under more favourable operating conditions.
Ticket holders are advised that refunds are being managed directly by the event organisers. Further information is available via the event organiser’s website.
The City of Bunbury remains committed to supporting events that bring people together, stimulate the local economy and strengthen community wellbeing, and looks forward to welcoming the expo back to Hay Park next year.
