Blair Street mural creates safer passage - artist Martin Frazer on site.

A new pavement mural will help create better connectivity and a safer passage between Koolambidi Woola and the city centre.

Bunbury creative Martin Frazer - of Blank Slate Creative - has designed an eye-catching mural that will be installed on Blair Street between the popular precinct and Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.

The crossing and median strip is a popular spot for our community and visitors to get to and from Koolambidi Woola, and this exciting art project will complement the recent speed limit reduction in the same area.

The mural’s theme is migration – a celebration of movement with Martin saying it represents the process of “traversing from one place to another, not only with the feet but with the heart and mind”.

He says the shapes used draw inspiration from the surrounding natural landscape and vibrant sunsets.

We cannot wait to share the finished mural with our community, with work to install the mural set to start the week of 19 February!

Please note, traffic management will be in place during installation.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your

patience as we complete this exciting project for Bunbury.
