Construction of temporary grandstands at Hands Oval has commenced ahead of the 2026 Toyota AFL Premiership Season Round 13 match between North Melbourne and Fremantle on Saturday 6 June.

- Observe all safety fencing and signage
- Supervise children in the vicinity of the oval
- Follow any temporary changes to access paths around the precinct
About the event
The Round 13 match between North Melbourne Football Club and the Fremantle Dockers will be the second Toyota AFL Premiership Season match held at Hands Oval, following the historic North Melbourne vs West Coast match in June 2025 – the first AFL Premiership game held in regional Western Australia.

The match is part of a three-year agreement to host AFL matches at Hands Oval in 2025, 2026 and 2027, supported by $5.7 million in State Government upgrades to the Hands Memorial Oval precinct, complementing the $19.5 million already invested in this community asset.
Further event information, including road closures, parking, and match-day logistics, will be shared in the coming weeks.
