Escape the winter weather and hear from seasoned storytellers and experts sharing the lesser-known tales of Bunbury’s histories with our Winter Warmer program. Always different, always entertaining, all welcome.
Our presenters for this session are Chris Handley, Brad Repacholi, and Tiriata Carkeek
Date: Sunday 7 June 2026
Time: 1.30pm - 3pm
Join us for a community memory workshop exploring the history and stories of the Rathmines area - now known as East Bunbury. This session aims to gather stories and recollections about the Rathmines area in preparation for an exciting upcoming exhibition at the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre.
Facilitated by our museum team, the session brings together former and current residents, local history enthusiasts, and anyone with a connection to Rathmines to share stories about school days, fishing families, community life, and what made Rathmines its own special place.
You can help us by sharing your personal memories, local knowledge and photos. Or you can just sit back, enjoy a cup of tea, and listen to some yarns.
Free entry, RSVPs are encouraged. Coffee & tea available.
