Have you ever seen a WA Numbat in the wild? If not, it's no surprise. Our state emblem has faced extreme risk for more than 50 years, with research in the late 1970s estimating a total population of 300.
Thankfully, this unique species has recently been pulled back from the brink of extinction after decades of effort and Perth Zoo's breeding program. Research now shows the population is growing in the wild!
Celebrate this great news at the Bunbury Museum by joining in a craft session to make your own Numbat mask.
DATE: Thursday, 8 October
TIME: 10.30am - 12pm
This free activity is recommended for children aged 8-12.
