What a night! It was a packed house on Thursday 21 September as we celebrated this year's History's Mysteries Young Writers Competition Awards Night.
We didn't just stop at announcing the winners - we turned on the theatrics by inviting some of our friends to bring these imaginative stories to life!
They reacted, they read, and they left us all in awe. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with shocked gasps, belly laughs, and suspense that kept us on the edge of our seats as we listened to the winning stories!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and congratulations to all the young writers who entered, with a special shout out to our following winners:
Katalina Chalker, Bunbury Baptist College
Hailee Rennie, South Bunbury Primary School
Amber Veurink, South West John Calvin Christian College
Ryley Spaanderman, South West John Calvin Christian College
Sara Bergsma, South West John Calvin Christian College
Emma van der Lugt, South West John Calvin Christian College
Rhesty Anne Payapag, Bunbury Catholic College
Charlotte Gibbs, Bunbury Catholic College
Sofia Robles, Our Lady of Mercy College
Isabella Chalker, Bunbury Senior High School

This year's prizes would not have been possible without the generous support of Southern Ports.
The winning stories from the 2023 competition are currently on displayed at the Museum alongside the artefacts that inspired the tales.
