In Western Australia, food businesses are governed under the Food Act 2008, Food Regulations 2009 and the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. City of Bunbury Environmental Health Officers conduct regular food safety assessments of all premises preparing food for sale.
All outlets selling food are required to notify the City. Should you wish to open a new food business, you will need to complete the following applications. Please refer to the relevant guideline for details on the approval process and information to be included with your application.
If a food business has been sold or has ceased operation, please notify the City by completing the Sale or Closure of Food Business form.
If you are purchasing an existing food business, it is recommended that you complete a settlement enquiry form to find out if there are any outstanding compliance notices pertaining to the premises, the registration status and whether there are any restrictions on activities.
If you are running a sausage sizzle to raise money, please complete the notification form below. There is a separate form specifically for Bunnings sausage sizzles.
