safeTALK: Become a suicide alert helper

safeTALK is a free 4-hour workshop for ages 15+ to recognise suicide signs, start supportive conversations, and connect people to help.

safeTALK is a half-day alertness workshop that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide alert helper.

LivingWorks safeTALK is a four-hour training session that equips people to be more alert to someone thinking of suicide and better able to connect them with further help.

To learn more about safeTalk and to see the evidence visit the LivingWorks website.

You will learn:

  • How to reach out to someone thinking about suicide
  • How to help keep them safe by promptly connecting them to further support
  • Your role as a connector

A word about wellbeing

We acknowledge that attending a workshop discussing suicide may bring up difficult and distressing emotions for people, especially for those who have been personally or professionally impacted by suicide. Therefore, we ask that you consider whether this is an appropriate time for you to attend a session before registering.
