Thank you to everyone who came and acknowledged and celebrated Aboriginal artists at the opening of Noongar Country 2024 on Saturday 7 September. This year’s Noongar Country exhibition, Our Elders, Our Pathfinders, celebrates the wisdom, resilience, and creativity of Aboriginal Elders who have dedicated their lives to preserving and sharing Culture.

Curated by an impressive team of Aboriginal artists and art workers, Zali Morgan, Katelyn Whitehurst and Amanda Bell, this exhibition is curated with the vision to elevate and highlight Elders who have paved the way forward for moort and boodja, past and present.
"The concept of pathfinding is central to our Cultural practices. Elders are not just keepers of knowledge; they are guides, leading us through the complexities of life and Culture, ensuring that the wisdom of our Ancestors is passed down and remains vibrant in contemporary society. This exhibition brings this role to the forefront, showcasing the work of artists who have mastered their craft and paved the way for others to follow."
