17/02/2009 New City initiative says is your sport and recreation club healthy?

Sporting and recreation clubs in Bunbury are being offered small grants for the purchase of  equipment under a new initiative by the City of Bunbury Club Development Scheme.

The City of Bunbury Healthy Club Grant Scheme invites clubs to fill out a Healthy Club Survey and participate in Club Development Workshops to be eligible for grants of up to $500 on a dollar for dollar basis.

The Healthy Club Survey will allow the Sports Club Development Officer to assess the financial and administrative ‘health’ of clubs and provide targeted assistance if problem areas exist within the clubs.

 ‘Healthy’ clubs will be rewarded with access to funds to use for purchasing equipment for their club.
