YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCILYAC Bunbury is a formal committee who advise Council on issues affecting young people.  As a team, YAC members create exciting projects which benefit young people in Bunbury, including the SHIFT Youth Arts Festival and Freedom Island at the City of Bunbury Australia Day Celebrations.  Our members volunteer, speak and assist in the running of events like TEDx Youth Bunbury and the Future Possibilities Youth Conference.

The YAC Effect

This strategy will provide the City of Bunbury and the youth with a clear direction to build on its foundation of success and achievements.

Our desire is to create one YAC for all youth that embraces indigenous, disabilities and multicultural representations, making a stronger YAC through diversity of its membership. A single YAC will improve coordination and collaboration in creating events and community change. It will provide a single voice to be listened to by Council rather than disparate groupings of youth representation.
