Beach volleyball has joined the growing list of sports that will take centre stage as part of the Australian Beach Games to be held at the upgraded Koombana Bay foreshore on February 9-11 next year.
With live music, food trucks and entertainment paired with sports played on and around the beach, Australian Beach Games will be an amazing multisport festival held over one big weekend, offering something for the entire family.
The event takes place in five States across the country and a large number of participants and spectators are expected for the Bunbury festival.
Bunbury Volleyball Association Vice President Warren McVittie said he was thrilled to be partnering with Australian Beach Games to provide a beach volleyball tournament for the area.
“We look forward to a great tournament and encourage all regional towns to get on board for what will be a significant sporting event for Bunbury and surrounds,” Mr McVittie said.
Scott Hollow, owner and director of Event People, the creative masterminds behind Australian Beach Games, said he was excited to have Bunbury Volleyball Association on board for 2018.

Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said the Australian Beach Games will be the first event to make use of the revitalised Koombana Bay foreshore.
“I am excited about this high profile event being held in Bunbury as it will showcase our city and also our fantastic new foreshore to a wide audience,” Mr Brennan said.
