- Development Application Form – Residential or Commercial; AND 

- R-Codes Assessment Checklist - Short (patios, sheds, fences, carports & garages etc.) OR

- R-Codes Assessment Checklist - Full (grouped dwellings etc.)   

You may also need to include:

- Bushfire Protection Criteria Coversheet (bushfire prone area for proposals not considered minor) 

- Development Application Form Opt Out (proposals valued $2-10million (GST Exclusive), where you opt not to have the application determined by Development Assessment Panel)

- GBRS Form 1 (applications such as: subject land zoned ‘Regional Open Space’, abuts land zoned ‘Regional Open Space’ or ‘Waterways’ or a Primary Regional Road etc). Check online mapping or call (08) 9792 7000 and the duty planner can check for you.

- Fee Calculator (not for all application types i.e. DAP applications, HBB, Extension of Time, Restrospective applications etc.)

EXTENSION OF TIME TO DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL

- Extension of Time Application Form (seeking an extension to a development approval) 

These should only be emailed (do not use Electronic Lodgment System).

Email to records@bunbury.wa.gov.au and include in subject header Request Extension of Time, Property Address, Development Approval (DA/YEAR/NUMBER/).

WRITTEN PLANNING ADVICE/PRELIMINARY COMMENTS

When you want information about a property you wish to purchase, lease, develop and want:

Written advice or copies of previous development approvals (Written Planning Advice)

OR

Home office (Written Planning Advice)

If you are applying for a home office, also include
and a site plan showing the area to be used for a home office
 
An assessment of submitted plans with likely conditions to be placed on a development approval (Preliminary Comments)

SUBDIVISIONS (CLEARANCES)

The first part of a subdivision application is made to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC). The form below is the next stage, applying to the City to clear conditions on your conditional subdivision approval to be cleared by Local Government:

- Clearance Application 

Email to records@bunbury.wa.gov.au and include in subject header Request Clearance of Conditions, Property Address, WAPC REF:

Include draft plan, and phone number for making payment of the clearance fees. When you apply, all conditions should be ready to clear. If you have questions call (08) 9792 7000 and ask for planning, quoting the WAPC reference number. Note: An application is not considered complete until fee is paid.
