Leschenault Inlet Master Plan

The City of Bunbury is actively working towards protecting and enhancing Bunbury’s regional open space. The Leschenault Inlet Master Plan is considered to be a positive step towards the Bunbury community enjoying their highly valued foreshore.

The City is implementing elements of Precinct 2 that includes in-ground service infrastructure, landscaping, paths, shelter and solar lighting as the preliminary stage of works. The City Council has committed $219,000 to initial works of a multi-million dollar project.

The 70 hectare study area surrounds the Inlet, an approximately 1.9km long and up to 200m wide water body. It is surrounded by a mix of crown land, regional open space, residential and commercial port.
