Are you interested in making a difference in Bunbury?
Do you have an idea to create more vibrancy and bring more people into the City of Bunbury?
Then you may be interested in being a part of the Town Team Movement.
Town teams are positive and proactive organisations that include businesses, landowners and residents working collaboratively with their local government to improve a place or area, often a town centre or main street.
Town Team Movement is looking for passionate and pro-active Bunbury community leaders to help make Bunbury an even better place to live, work and play.
The City and Town Team Movement will be hosting an interactive locally-led placemaking workshop on Saturday 26 October from 10am to 1pm at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
Come along to find out what Town Team Movement is all about and how you can be a part of this exciting opportunity.
Mayor Gary Brennan encouraged the community to support the placemaking initiative.
“Town Teams have proved to be successful in other areas and in order for placemaking to be effective it requires a collaborative approach,” Mayor Brennan said.
“This is something Council would like for the community to really take ownership over and work together with the City to help reinvent and reinvigorate our public spaces.”
City of Bunbury officers will also be set up in the CBD at Paisley Square on Wednesday 23, Thursday 24 and Friday 25 October to answer any questions relating to the Town Team Movement.
