Targeted toward local government and the business sector this forum will showcase industry leaders in innovation as well as showcase opportunities for training, funding and support for businesses wishing to enter the sector.

Representatives from Telstra, Maker + Co, AusIndustry and Edith Cowan University will be on hand to promote training, funding and support opportunities.

This will be followed by a business innovation showcase including representatives from Maxx Frontier, TADWA,  PixelCase and VROC.

A panel discussion asking What is the Community Connection? will close the event before a networking opportunity in the evening.

“Innovation is key to driving business success and this event presents the perfect opportunity for our business community to hear from industry leaders in innovation as well as network and get to know one another,” Mayor Brennan said.

“This will be the first of many similar style forums to be hosted by the City.”

Lord Mayor Vatskalis said he was looking forward to visiting Bunbury.

“City of Darwin is excited to be attending this event and to share our experience implementing the $10 million Switching on Darwin project.”

“The forum will provide an opportunity to hear from other local councils and business leaders on how they are utilising smart technologies to improve the delivery of services – to improve efficiencies and the lives of our communities.”
