East Bunbury residents will be the first invited to take part in community Street Meets to be rolled out across the City.
In 2020 the City of Bunbury will host a number of community Street Meets in Bunbury suburbs, giving residents the opportunity to meet and engage with City staff and Councillors.
The street meets will give community members an opportunity to discuss current and future projects earmarked for the area with City personnel.
These public meetings will be interactive and will help to inform future decision making that reflects both the community’s values and aspirations in alignment with the City’s funding and resourcing capabilities.
The City will launch ongoing initiatives at the street meets in order to keep the community engaged and informed through ongoing communication.
City of Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan encouraged all residents to get along to a street meet in their suburb and join the conversation.
“Both the City staff and councillors value the feedback and priorities of their local community and these street meets will provide an opportunity for residents to have their say and better understand decision making processes,” Mayor Brennan said.
“All the feedback from these meetings will be taken on board and the conversation won’t stop as the City is committed to ongoing engagement with the community.”
The East Bunbury Street Meet will be held at the Bunbury Football Club P.C. Payne Park on Thursday 27 February from 5:30pm.
