Director Planning and Development Services brings wealth of experience to the City

The City of Bunbury on Monday welcomed new Director Planning and Development Services Gary Barbour to the organisation.

Mr Barbour joins the City of Bunbury with 15 years of senior management experience in both Local Government and private industry.

His career has seen him work throughout the South West region including Busselton, Donnybrook-Balingup and Bunbury.

Mr Barbour said he was eager to immerse himself in the role.

“I am a passionate advocate for Bunbury and am thrilled to join the City of Bunbury and the Executive Leadership Team,” Mr Barbour said.

Mr Barbour replaces Acting Director Planning and Development Services Felicity Anderson.

CEO Mal Osborne welcomed Mr Barbour to the organisation and thanked Mrs Anderson for her efforts.

“Gary is a great asset to the City of Bunbury and comes highly experienced in Local Government and private enterprise,” Mr Osborne said. 

“He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Planning and Development Services directorate and I look forward to working with him on the Executive Leadership Team.

“I wish to take this opportunity to also applaud Felicity on taking on the acting role wholeheartedly and professionally for the past 12 months.”

Mrs Anderson will now step back into her substantiative role as Manager Economic Development and Lands.
