The City of Bunbury will be inviting the business community to an informal get-together to celebrate the launch of the City’s Economic Development Action Plan and the Bunbury City Centre Action Plan.
The inaugural Business Street Meet will be open to all local businesses and provides opportunity for business owners and their staff to get to know the City’s Executive team and officers from Waste Services, Environmental Health, People and Place and Economic Development.
CEO Mal Osborne will also provide a brief update on the City’s latest projects.
Mr Osborne said the Economic Development Plan aims to foster collaboration with City stakeholders and advocacy within the community in order to drive necessary changes, pursue opportunities and work collectively towards positive development and growth for the region.
“The Economic Development Action Plan aims to deliver not only short term objectives to stimulate our economy and add to the vibrancy of our great City, but also strives to steer Bunbury to achieve our longer term goals and future aspirations,” Mr Osborne said.
“I encourage local business people to come along to find out more and to also network not just with City staff but with other local business people.”
The Bunbury City Centre Action Plan will concentrate on deliverable actions in Bunbury’s City Centre over the next two to three years focussing on the following key findings:
- Grow business and investment in the City Centre
- Bunbury becoming a vibrant place to live, work and visit
- Cultivate a green City
- Become a city of light
The Business Street Meet will take place on Wednesday 4 December from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Bunbury Commercial Club (21 Symmons Street, Bunbury).
