The Bunbury Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is looking for a passionate, proactive and motivated young person to join its ranks.
A vacancy has opened up on YAC and the City of Bunbury is calling for nominations.
YAC provides guidance to the Bunbury City Council on issues affecting young people in the City of Bunbury.
People aged 12 to 25 are being encouraged to apply and have their voice heard.
Bunbury Youth Mayor Sean Smith said being a part of YAC provided young people with a variety of skills and qualities.
“YAC members can hone their leadership and teamwork skills as well as be given the opportunity to be a spokesperson for their peers,” Youth Mayor Smith said.
“If you want to make a difference to your community then this a great way to get involved and be heard.”
YAC members also have the opportunity to plan events such as the annual Shift Youth Festival held during National Youth Week as well as being involved in projects like the new Bunbury Youth Precinct.
